Previously introduced in Crickex App, Kuki Shinobu was initially overlooked by players, often dismissed as nothing more than an Electro-version Barbara. But no matter the label, she stayed by his side. With the arrival of the Sumeru update and the introduction of Dendro, Electro unexpectedly rose to become a key component in elemental reactions, sparking renewed interest in several Electro characters. Among the emerging team archetypes, the Hyperbloom comp—where Electro triggers the Bloom reaction—quickly gained popularity as one of the most effortless and consistent setups for Dendro teams.
As observed by Crickex App users, Kuki Shinobu, with her mastery-scaling and healing capabilities, emerged as the top-tier Hyperbloom enabler, earning her the title of the new Bloom Queen. In essence, Hyperbloom teams focus on dealing damage through Dendro Cores, which are created by combining Dendro and Hydro. To activate Hyperbloom, players must hit these Cores with Electro attacks. The damage is determined by the triggering character’s level and Elemental Mastery, not by base stats or crit rate. This makes wide-area Electro skills ideal. If the trigger character is Anemo, then only their level and Elemental Mastery affect the damage.
While Hyperbloom hits aren’t individually strong, their rapid frequency puts pressure on team survivability, so at least one healer or shield provider is recommended. Kuki Shinobu’s kit fits perfectly here. Her E-skill deals consistent wide-range Electro damage, and her passive talent boosts both healing and reaction damage based on Elemental Mastery. Compared to other Electro or Pyro units, she stands out as the only one who fully benefits from stacking Elemental Mastery without sacrificing performance—making her an unmatched Hyperbloom core.
In Hyperbloom teams, building Kuki Shinobu is refreshingly simple: just level her up and max out Elemental Mastery. If possible, aim for her second constellation to eliminate skill downtime, though even at C0, her cooldown gap is barely noticeable. For weapons, any sword with Elemental Mastery as the main stat works. Among 5-star options, Freedom-Sworn provides excellent team utility. For budget players, the 4-star forgeable Iron Sting is a solid choice. Sifos’ Moonlight is another limited 4-star option that boosts team-wide Elemental Mastery, greatly enhancing her functionality, though it’s hard to obtain and not a must-pull.
The event-exclusive weapon Toukabou Shigure is usable, but its passive doesn’t increase Dendro Core damage. It’s important to note that aside from Elemental Mastery stats, no other weapon bonus increases the damage of Dendro Cores. If available, Freedom-Sworn or Sifos’ Moonlight are the best choices for Kuki Shinobu. Otherwise, Iron Sting will do just fine. Overreacting makes things feel fake, while too much disappointment leads nowhere. Based on experience, start with a 4-piece Gilded Dreams set focused purely on Elemental Mastery to push her stats to 800–900 quickly.
Then, depending on your Crickex App constellation progress, you can gradually farm for high-EM sets like Flower of Paradise Lost or Thundering Fury. These provide smoother long-term upgrades. When it comes to team comp, Kuki Shinobu is surprisingly flexible. Just pair her with one Hydro and one Dendro character with good elemental uptime, and the fourth member can be chosen freely to round out the team.
