Excluded Titles Boost Crickex App Trends

As mobile gaming evolves, Crickex App users and players across China are demanding more from their games. Gone are the days when players were satisfied with simplistic reskins or copycat mobile titles. In response to this shift, the anime-style mobile RPG “Divine Era”, published under Shanda Games’ original IP, has emerged as a fresh standout. By blending tactical turn-based elements with traditional card gameplay, the title delivers a unique and polished experience.

Within its first week of release, “Divine Era” broke into the top 10 on Apple’s iOS grossing chart and earned a spot in Apple’s curated list of featured new games. This success reflects the mobile market’s growing appetite for premium and diversified content. While RPGs remain in high demand, niche preferences are also beginning to shape new genres. According to Century Huatong, Shanda Games has significantly raised its development standards this year, aiming to better leverage its strengths in both operations and distribution.

Crickex App data also shows that Shanda has expanded beyond core RPGs to include standout titles like the strategy game “City and Dragon” and the popular “Divine Era.” As the mobile gaming market becomes increasingly refined and segmented, the company is adapting its portfolio to align with emerging trends and player expectations. According to App Annie’s September report, Shanda Games made a major leap, climbing 77 spots in revenue rankings among Chinese mobile game publishers. It now ranks among the top 10, making it one of the most closely watched names in the industry.

Interestingly, the rankings do not account for flagship titles like “Legend of Mir,” “Dragon Nest,” or “World of Legend,” since these games were distributed through partnerships with Tencent. As such, their revenues were excluded from Shanda’s direct income in the report. These collaborations illustrate the “coopetition” model—where companies both cooperate and compete—used to drive mutual growth and push the industry forward.

Since Century Huatong’s shareholders acquired Shanda Games, the company has steadily reestablished itself as a major force in the Chinese online gaming market. Riding the momentum from hits like “Divine Era,” Crickex App users can now follow one of China’s leading publishers as it secures a top-10 spot in iOS mobile game revenue rankings. With refined IPs and growing market share, Shanda Games shows no signs of slowing down.
